"Quantum Rain Club" by Indifferent Spaces is their 6th collection of works and 2nd full length album. Embarking on a mystical journey across Earth, through space, and in spirit, this album's concept appears to be that of an urgent mission to save the planet from some man-made destruction. With solid nostalgic grooves, futuristic downtempo, chaotic break beats, and a plethora of experimental minuets, IS6 is quite a strange and interesting trip. There are more sound-bites here than on any of their previous projects. From the very beginning, all the way through to the end, clips from the original Rainbow Brite and random assorted speeches of cult leaders and figure heads weave in and out of the music guiding the expedition. Overall, Quantum Rain Club seems to be an eccentric or avant-garde voyage through some transitional dark world which ultimately emerges triumphantly into the light. A keen ear for concepts and a few good listens are definitely required to fully digest this one.
